Is stroke considered cardiovascular disease?

My mother's doctor mentioned cardiovascular health after her mini-stroke scare. Is stroke considered a cardiovascular disease, or is it separate? I'm trying to understand how connected these things are for prevention.

Yes, medically a stroke is classified as a cardiovascular disease because it involves blood vessel blockages or ruptures.

Yes, stroke is considered a type of cardiovascular disease (specifically cerebrovascular). It happens when the blood supply to the brain is interrupted. Managing your lifestyle, cutting down salt, and taking your BP medicines is the best way to prevent it.

Yes yaar, it is actually under the same cardiovascular category. Both are basically blood vessel issues, one in the heart and one in the brain. So keeping cholesterol and BP low is super important for both.

Yes, it is a cardiovascular issue. I suffered a minor stroke two years ago due to high BP. My tip is: don't just rely on pills; do daily walking, cut down on ghee and alcohol, and monitor your blood pressure every single week.
