Is stroke a cardiovascular disease?

My father suffered a stroke last year, and now we are very conscious about heart health in our family. Is stroke considered a cardiovascular disease, or is it something completely different? We're trying to understand what precautions to take.

Actually, yes! It falls under the umbrella of cardiovascular diseases because it involves the blood vessels, but it specifically affects the brain. My uncle had one, and we learned that managing blood pressure is key to preventing both heart issues and stroke.

When we took my father to Fortis last year, the head neurologist explained that stroke is classified as a cerebrovascular disease, which is closely linked to cardiovascular health. Please consult a specialist to understand your personal risk factors clearly.

Yes, they are closely related! Both involve the circulatory system and blood vessels. Keeping your heart healthy with good food and exercise helps protect your brain too! 🧠❤️

I used to panic thinking any blood pressure spike would lead to a stroke since they are both cardiovascular. But my doctor reassured me that with regular medicine and simple lifestyle changes, the risks are highly manageable. Don't worry too much!

They are indeed part of the same vascular family, my friend. While we can use simple home methods like garlic and curry leaves to support heart and vessel health, medical treatment and regular checkups are absolutely essential for preventing strokes.

I completely understand how overwhelming it is to read about these conditions. I used to get so anxious thinking a heart issue meant an automatic stroke. Yes, they are related cardiovascular conditions, but managing stress and health really helps lower the risk.
