Is string bean good for diabetes?

My husband was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and we are trying to make some changes to his diet. Someone told me string beans are very good, but I wanted to confirm if they are safe for diabetics. Should I add them more often to his meals?

Yes, absolutely! String beans are super low in carbs and packed with fiber, which is amazing for keeping blood sugar levels stable. Plus, they taste great in dry subzis or salads! 🥗

I have had diabetes for over twenty years now, beta. Green beans or French beans have always been a regular part of my meals. They do not spike sugar at all and are very easy to digest. Eat them without any worry.

Yes, they are highly recommended. They have a very low glycemic index, making them perfect for diabetic diets.

Definitely. String beans are rich in vitamins A, C, and K, and the fiber helps slow down glucose absorption. Just prepare them with minimal oil, maybe a simple stir-fry, to get the best nutritional benefits.

Since the doctor told me to cut rice, my plate looks like a green forest! String beans are my daily companion now. They are actually quite filling and keep my morning fasting sugar numbers in check.

String beans are excellent because of their high fiber and low glycemic load. However, the overall cooking style matters—avoid deep frying them or using heavy cream. Always consult your clinical nutritionist to see how it fits into your daily carb allowance.

Haan ji, green beans are very good for sugar patients. We grow them in our small kitchen garden and cook them with very little spice. It is very light on the stomach and healthy.
