Is stevia ok for diabetics?

I was just diagnosed with diabetes and I'm trying to change my diet. I heard about stevia as a sugar substitute. Is it generally okay for diabetics to use stevia?

Haan na, stevia bilkul chalega diabetics ke liye. Yeh natural hota hai aur sugar level bilkul nahi badhata. Mere pati bhi ab chai mein vahi dalte hain aur unhe koi takleef nahi hui ab tak.

My fifteen-year-old was diagnosed with early insulin resistance, and as a mother, I wanted a safe option. We switched his sweet drinks to stevia and it works beautifully. Just buy pure stevia leaves or liquid without any artificial additives.

I cannot give any medical advice, but I can share that I have been using stevia for my sweet cravings since I was diagnosed. It doesn't affect my fasting blood glucose levels at all. For me, it has been a very reliable option.

Stevia has a glycemic index of zero, so it doesn't cause any insulin spikes. I track my father's continuous glucose monitor readings, and stevia shows absolutely flat lines compared to regular sugar. It is highly recommended.

Actually it is totally fine, yaar. Stevia is plant-based, unlike those chemical sweeteners which can sometimes mess with your gut. It might taste a little bitter if you put too much, but otherwise it is perfect for diabetics.

Beta, stevia is a natural herb and is very safe for sugar patients. In olden days we relied on natural herbs, so this is much better than chemical pills. But still, use it in limited quantities and keep consulting your doctor.
