Is stage 4 prostate cancer a death sentence?

My father recently got diagnosed with prostate cancer, and the doctor said it's quite advanced, stage 4. We are all very worried, na. I just want to know if this means there's no hope at all, if it's really the end.

My family elders suggested many herbal juices when my cousin was diagnosed. But we trusted our oncologist's medical advice completely. Stage 4 prostate cancer is highly treatable, and with hormone therapies, patients can live comfortably for many years. It is definitely not an immediate death sentence.

Let's look at the facts directly. Stage 4 prostate cancer is advanced, but it behaves very differently from other stage 4 cancers. Hormone therapy and chemotherapy are highly effective at controlling it. Do not waste time panicking; get an appointment with a urologist or oncologist immediately.

I ignored my urinary issues for a long time, thinking it was just old age, which was a huge mistake. If you or a family member has been diagnosed with stage 4, please don't lose hope. Get into active treatment immediately, as prostate cancer can be controlled well for a long time.

Our family physician explained that prostate cancer cells are highly sensitive to testosterone. By using hormone therapy (androgen deprivation), doctors can stop the cancer from growing for a very long period. So while it's stage 4, many patients manage it as a chronic condition rather than a terminal one.

When my father was diagnosed with stage 4, I panicked completely and thought we were going to lose him within months. But his doctor reassured us, and now, three years later, my dad is doing absolutely fine on simple hormone pills. Take a deep breath, it is highly manageable.
