Is stage 4 kidney disease bad?

My husband has just been told he has stage 4 kidney disease. We are very worried about this. Is this a really bad stage, like extremely serious for his health?

Actually it is quite serious because kidney function is down to 15-30 percent here. My father's doctor explained that this is the stage just before kidney failure, so managing blood pressure and diet becomes extremely critical now. You definitely need a good nephrologist to plan the next steps.

It is a tough stage but don't lose heart at all! My uncle has been managing it quite well with proper treatment and a positive mindset. Just follow the doctor's routine strictly and take care of your diet daily, everything will be stable! 👍✨

I was reading about this yesterday only because my neighbor got diagnosed. From what I understood, it's not the end of the road but it definitely requires immediate medical attention. Seems like they have to monitor a lot of blood parameters regularly.

Managing chronic conditions is always about keeping close track of your reports. Just like I have to do regular blood tests for my thyroid levels, for kidney stage 4 you must stay on top of your creatinine and GFR levels. Regular doctor follow-ups are the only way to prevent it from getting worse.

In such severe kidney issues, please do not try any random home remedies or herbs from the internet because they can put extra pressure on your kidneys. I always prefer ayurveda for normal things, but for stage 4, only strict allopathic treatment and expert guidance will work. Take care.

It is serious because the kidneys are working at a very low capacity. In our practice, we see that patients who strictly manage their blood pressure, diabetes, and limit their potassium/phosphorus intake do much better. Please consult a renal specialist immediately to plan a proper medical strategy.

Hey, please don't stress too much, okay? I know seeing 'stage 4' on reports looks really scary, but medicine has advanced so much now. Just take it one step at a time and find a doctor you fully trust. You guys will get through this.

My grandmother was diagnosed with this a couple of years back. It was scary at first, but we quickly adjusted her diet, reduced her salt intake, and kept her well-hydrated as per the doc's advice. Practical daily management and lots of love really make a difference.

I don't know much about kidney issues, so sorry if this is a basic question. Is stage 4 reversible with medicines, or does the patient always have to go for dialysis eventually? Sending strength to whoever is dealing with this.

At stage 4, your protein intake and salt levels need strict monitoring because the kidneys can't filter waste easily. Light walking is usually good to keep blood circulation active, but make sure to get a customized diet plan from a sports dietitian or nephro-dietitian.

My relative was just told they might be near stage 4 and honestly I am so anxious thinking about it. Does it always mean severe pain and weakness right away? If anyone here has gone through this with a family member, please tell me how you managed.

Haan na, it is quite a stressful stage, tension ho jata hai family mein. But with proper medicine and doctor's advice, patients can manage it nicely for years. Bas stress mat lo and doctor jo bolte hain wahi follow karo strictly.
