Is stage 4 colon cancer terminal?

A close family member has received a diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer. We're trying to be strong. Does this mean it's a terminal illness with no way out?

It is a very advanced stage, but it is not immediately terminal for everyone. Just like managing high sugar, it requires strict treatment discipline and clean eating.

It is an advanced stage, but staying physically active with light walking can improve your tolerance to therapy and quality of life.
