Is splenda bad for diabetics?

I've been using Splenda as a sugar substitute since my diabetes diagnosis. My daughter recently told me that artificial sweeteners might not be good for health. Is Splenda bad for diabetics, or is it a safe option?

I have been diabetic for a decade and used Splenda initially. Honestly, while it doesn't spike sugar instantly, it can keep your sweet cravings alive and affect gut health. Try slowly reducing sweet tastes completely, that is the real cure.

My mother's doctor said artificial sweeteners like Splenda are fine in moderation for coffee, but not to make it a daily habit. Family elders always suggest shifting to natural things like stevia. It is best to ask your diabetologist what suits your body.

Splenda uses sucralose which is calorie-free, so it won't directly spike your glucose levels. It is a decent tool if you are trying to cut calories while working out. Just don't overdo it, as balance is key.

My dad has diabetes and we tried switching him to Splenda. It works well for his morning tea without raising his levels, but we still try to keep it limited. It's a very practical option for daily tea cravings!

Haan na, sugar craving is so difficult to control. Splenda is okay occasionally, but too much chemical sweetener is not good for health anyway. Better to use it very lightly, ho na.

Every diabetic body reacts differently to chemical sweeteners like sucralose. Some people experience gut issues or mild spikes due to fillers. Please get your HbA1c checked and ask your doctor if Splenda is safe for your specific case.

I know how hard it is to give up sugar when you are newly diagnosed, it feels so depressing. Splenda helped me cope initially, but overusing it made me feel bloated and anxious. Be gentle with yourself and use it sparingly.

My mother was just told she is prediabetic. Is Splenda really safe for daily tea, or should we look for organic stevia leaves instead? I want to make sure I buy the healthiest option for her.

I managed to bring my HbA1c down from 8.2 to 5.8 recently. I used Splenda in my tea during the transition, and it didn't harm my progress. It's totally fine to use as a stepping stone while you adapt to a low-sugar lifestyle.

Honestly, I am too tired to worry about chemical names like sucralose. I use Splenda in my black coffee to survive late nights, and my sugar levels are fine. Just don't bake whole cakes with it and you'll survive!
