Is sourdough bread good for pcos?

Dealing with PCOS has been tough, especially managing my diet. I've heard some buzz about sourdough bread being better for hormone balance and blood sugar. Is sourdough bread actually good for PCOS, or is it just wishful thinking?

With PCOS, insulin resistance is a big issue and simple carbs can really mess up your cycles. I had severe complications because I ignored my diet for too long. Sourdough is better than white bread, but please see a doctor or endocrinologist to get a proper diet chart.

Yes, authentic sourdough doesn't spike insulin as fast, which is very helpful for PCOS management.

Bro, managing PCOS in college hostel is so hard. Sourdough toast with peanut butter has literally saved my breakfast routine because normal bread was making me feel so bloated and tired all day.

If you have PCOS but also love food like me, sourdough is a lifesaver. You get that amazing bread pull and crust without the massive sugar crash later. Just pair it with some avocado or eggs to make it even more balanced!

I tried all kinds of seed cycling and herbal teas for my daughter's PCOS, but simple dietary swaps worked best. Switching her regular bread to real fermented sourdough helped her digestion and energy levels immensely. Give it a try, it is a very practical change.

I track my food macros on MyFitnessPal and sourdough definitely has a better glycemic profile for insulin control. Just make sure you log the exact portion because the carbs can still add up quickly if you aren't careful.
