Is sourdough bread good for fatty liver?

I was diagnosed with fatty liver recently and my nutritionist asked me to make some dietary changes. My friend swears by sourdough bread for gut health. Could it also be good for my fatty liver condition?

With our busy work schedules, finding healthy options is tough, but switching to whole-grain sourdough can help with digestion. Just don't expect it to magically cure fatty liver. You still need to cut down on processed junk and oily food overall.

Sourdough might be easier on the stomach, but fatty liver needs a proper medical plan. You should get an ultrasound or LFT done first to see the severity. Please consult your physician before experimenting with different breads.

Honestly, I am too tired to even chew sometimes, but I read that sourdough has fermenting benefits. My fatty liver is probably from all the late-night stress ordering anyway. If sourdough means I can still eat bread without guilt, I'm down for it.

I was recently diagnosed with grade 1 fatty liver and I'm honestly so worried about what to eat now. Is sourdough actually safe or will it make things worse? Has anyone else here tried switching to it and noticed any positive change?

Beta, in our days we ate simple home-cooked food and kept active, which is the best cure for liver issues. Sourdough is fine because it is fermented naturally, but don't eat too much of it. Just focus on eating clean, simple meals and walking daily.
