Is sore throat a symptom of asthma?

My brother has asthma and sometimes complains about a sore throat, especially after he's had an attack or when the weather changes. Is a sore throat a symptom of asthma, or is it usually something else? We get worried when he gets sick.

My son has asthma, and he often gets a sore throat because of mouth breathing during an attack or from using his steroid inhaler. We always make him rinse his mouth with warm water after using the inhaler to prevent throat irritation. Please check with your pediatrician about this.

Unless you are shouting during an asthma attack, the sore throat is probably just a regular viral bug saying hello! Keep a flask of warm water nearby and let your throat rest a bit.

I have mild asthma, and my throat only hurts when I have dry cough fits or if the pollution is really bad. I don't take any medicines without my doctor's prescription, I just stick to warm fluids.

I am not a doctor, but I have read that persistent post-nasal drip can irritate both asthma and your throat. Don't assume it is just asthma though, it is always safer to consult a specialist to get a proper diagnosis.

No, a sore throat is not a classic symptom of asthma, but coughing a lot due to asthma can definitely raw out your throat. If you are wheezing or finding it hard to catch your breath, stop searching online and see a pulmonologist.

Haan na, pollution ki wajah se gala bhi kharab hota hai aur asthma ki takleef bhi badh jati hai. Direct relation toh doctor hi batayenge, par steam lene se thoda aaram milta hai dono me.

Usually, sore throat is just viral, but dry air or inhaler use can cause throat irritation in asthma patients. Try doing simple warm water gargles twice a day. If you also have trouble breathing or chest tightness, please go to a clinic immediately.

It could just be seasonal allergies acting up! Many people get both asthma flares and a scratchy throat from dust. Try wearing a mask when you go out in dusty areas.

I have lived with asthma for 25 years. A sore throat is usually from the inhaler residue or throat dryness during mouth breathing. My tip is to always use a spacer with your inhaler and gargle right after to protect your throat.

Asthma me directly to gala kharab nahi hota, par haan cough se khich-khich ho sakti hai. Inhaler use karne ke baad kulla karte ho na? Wo zaroori hai nahi to throat infection ho jata hai.
