It can definitely increase anxiety, especially when we compare our lives and bodies to perfect online pictures. I noticed my stress levels and sleep improved when I reduced my screen time. It might affect everyone differently, but taking breaks really helps.
Yeah, it was totally ruining my focus and peace of mind last year. I was constantly checking likes and felt super low. I deleted Instagram for a month and honestly, my mental health got way better. Now I use it with strict time limits.
It absolutely drains our mental energy if we are not careful. I started practicing daily silence for 15 minutes and spending evening time in nature without my phone. These small practical habits bring back the peace that social media takes away.
As a working professional, I find it highly distracting and mentally exhausting. I have put a 30-minute daily limit on all social apps using my phone settings. It is a highly practical way to protect your mental space without going completely off-grid.
Constant scrolling keeps the mind hyperactive. I suggest keeping your phone away at least one hour before bed and reading a book or drinking chamomile tea instead. But if you are feeling deep anxiety or depression, please consult a professional counsellor.

At my age, family WhatsApp groups are bad enough for mental health, let alone Instagram! It really causes unnecessary headache and comparison. Best is to switch off the internet after 8 PM and enjoy peace.
Honestly, don't stress too much about being online, just filter what you see. Unfollow accounts that make you feel bad about yourself and follow things that make you laugh. Balance is everything, buddy!
