Is snoring sleep apnea?

I've been told I snore very loudly and sometimes wake myself up. My doctor suggested I get tested for sleep apnea. Is snoring always sleep apnea, or can it be something else?

I have been snoring a lot lately and waking up with a dry mouth. I am so scared that it might be sleep apnea. Has anyone else experienced this and got tested? Is it really that serious?

With PCOS, weight fluctuations can sometimes trigger snoring, which makes us prone to sleep issues. I can't say for sure if it is sleep apnea, as only a doctor can diagnose that. It might be good to discuss this during your next gynecologist or general physician visit.

It can be a major symptom, yes. I went to a specialist at Fortis Hospital because my snoring was getting out of hand. They did a proper assessment and explained everything clearly, so I highly recommend seeing a doctor.

I totally get it, snoring can be so embarrassing and stressful to deal with. Please don't worry too much right away, as it is not always apnea. Sometimes it is just a cold or sleeping on your back, but do get it checked to ease your mind.

Haan na, everyone thinks snoring is normal sleep but it can actually be apnea. Mere uncle ko bhi same problem tha. It is better to get a doctor's opinion than ignoring it, ho na?

Humare yahan sab sochte hain ki gehri neend mein kharrate aate hain. Par doctor babu ne bataya ki yeh sans rukne ki bimari bhi ho sakti hai. Aap bade shehar ke kisi acche doctor ko dikha lijiye, laparwahi mat kijiye.

In our times, we never knew about sleep apnea and just ignored snoring for years. Looking back, I realized it was the main reason for my high blood pressure and daytime fatigue. Don't make the same mistake, get a simple sleep test done.
