Yes, heavy snoring can sometimes be related to blocked breathing. For basic relief, you can try inhaling steam before sleeping or sleeping on your side instead of your back. But if it is very severe, do consult a doctor.

My husband used to snore very loudly and felt tired all day. We got a sleep study done on our doctor's advice, and he was indeed diagnosed with sleep apnea. Now he uses a machine and his sleep has improved so much.

I noticed I snore like a diesel engine only on nights when I eat a very heavy, oily dinner right before crashing. Light dinners and keeping a gap of two hours before sleeping helped me. But yes, regular heavy snoring needs proper medical checking.

Excess weight around the neck often causes snoring and sleep issues. When I dropped about 8 kgs through clean eating and daily cardio, my snoring completely stopped. Working on body fat percentage really helps with airway clearance.

My son used to snore badly, and it turned out to be enlarged tonsils blocking his airway. We were so worried about sleep apnea, but the ENT doctor guided us beautifully. Please get a proper specialist checkup done to know the exact reason.

Not every snorer has sleep apnea, but almost everyone with sleep apnea snores. If your snoring is accompanied by daytime fatigue, morning headaches, or sudden choking sounds at night, please get a sleep test done. It is better to diagnose it early.

It can be! Snoring is often the main sign people notice first 😴. If you also feel sleepy during daytime meetings, it is definitely worth discussing with a doctor to be safe!

You can try raising your head with a slightly higher pillow or drinking warm water with a bit of ginger before bed to clear the throat. However, if you wake up gasping for air, please don't rely on home remedies. Go to a good chest specialist immediately.
