Is sleep paralysis demonic?

My grandmother believes that when you can't move after waking up, it's a jinn or some evil spirit. It sounds like she's talking about sleep paralysis. Is sleep paralysis demonic, or is there a scientific explanation?

I read online that it is just a biological sleep glitch, but the shadow figures people see feel so real. Is it really just scientific? I am a bit scared because it happened to me yesterday for the first time.

It is absolutely not demonic, please don't fall for superstitions. I ignored my sleep issues thinking it was just bad dreams, but it turned out to be severe sleep apnea. Go get a proper medical checkup done before things get worse.

No, it is not demons, even though your brain makes you feel like there is an evil presence in the room. I literally searched the whole internet thinking I was possessed, but it is just anxiety playing tricks. Please stay calm, you are safe.

No, it's not demonic. It's a well-documented sleep disorder called REM intrusion. If it's affecting your daily work or causing fatigue, skip the spiritual explanations and consult a sleep specialist directly.

I used to think some ghost was sitting on my chest and spent sleepless nights sweating. But once I read about how REM sleep works, my fear vanished. It is just a biological delay, completely normal and nothing supernatural.

No, it is 100% scientific and not demonic at all. It is just your body lagging behind your brain waking up.

It has nothing to do with spirits. I used to get these vivid, terrifying sleep episodes when my TSH levels were extremely high. Please visit an endocrinologist and get your blood work done to rule out thyroid issues.

Nah bro, no ghosts here. It is just your brain forgetting to turn on the body switch when you wake up. I get it when I drink too much coffee before bed.

I completely understand why you would feel it is demonic because the terror is so intense and surreal. But biologically, it is just your muscles staying relaxed while your mind is awake. It is scary, but it cannot hurt you.

There are no demons involved, it is a medical issue. If you are planning to get a sleep study done to find the cause, check government hospitals as they do it at a fraction of the cost of private labs.

It is not spiritual or demonic, though it definitely feels like a horror movie. My sleep cycle got really messed up due to PCOS hormonal imbalances, which triggered these episodes. Getting your hormones checked might help.

My son experienced this and was terrified of demons in his room. We sat him down and explained the science behind sleep phases, which helped him feel safe. Please assure whoever is facing this that it is just biology.
