Is sleep paralysis common?

I've experienced sleep paralysis a few times in my life, and it's always very disturbing. I was wondering if this is something many people go through, or if it's quite rare? Is sleep paralysis common?

It actually happens to a lot of people, especially when we eat heavy biryani late at night and sleep immediately! My sleep cycle goes for a toss and then I wake up frozen. It is pretty common, so don't worry too much.

Beta, many youngsters face this nowadays due to stress and late nights. Try having a cup of warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg before bed to calm your mind. It is a common thing, but taking care of your routine is important.

Studies show a lot of people experience it at least once in their life. But if you are getting it multiple times a week, please go to a good hospital and consult a neurologist or sleep specialist. They can guide you properly instead of you guessing.

Actually yaor, it is super common. My college friends and I were just discussing this last week and half of them have felt it. It just happens when your sleep schedule is completely messed up.

Yes, it is very common, but knowing that doesn't make it any less terrifying when you are going through it. I used to cry out of fear thinking something is wrong with my brain. You are definitely not alone in this, so please be kind to yourself.

It is quite common, especially if your body is highly stressed or fatigued. I used to get it often, but regular exercise and maintaining a fixed wake-up time helped immensely. Try some light workouts or a jog if your physical health allows.
