Is sherbet good for diabetics?

My husband has diabetes, and we try to limit sugary things at home. During summers, we sometimes want something cold and sweet. Is sherbet a good option for diabetics, or does it have too much sugar?

I understand the concern, because anything sweet makes you think twice with diabetes. Generally, sherbet is loaded with sugar, so it's usually not recommended for diabetics. It can cause a rapid spike in blood sugar, which is exactly what we need to avoid. It's better to choose options with natural, low-GI sweeteners.

Sadly, most traditional sherbets are full of sugar, so not really good for diabetics. 😔 But you can try making your own sugar-free versions with fresh fruits and stevia! That way you still get to enjoy a refreshing drink! 🍹

Mere ghar mein, jinko diabetes hai, unko sherbet bilkul allowed nahi hai. Doc ne clearly bola hai ki it has too much sugar. We mostly make fresh lime water or sugar-free drinks instead. So from my experience, no, it's not good.

I've logged sherbet on my app before, and unless it's a specially made sugar-free version, the sugar content is usually very high. For a diabetic, that's a quick way to spike blood glucose. So, generally, no, it's not a good choice. Stick to water or unsweetened beverages.

Sherbet generally contains a lot of sugar, which is not suitable for diabetics as it can raise blood sugar levels quickly. It's better to avoid it or choose sugar-free alternatives under medical guidance.

I used to worry if every small treat would mess up my health. But with sherbet, it's pretty clear - it's usually packed with sugar. So for diabetics, it's definitely not ideal as it can cause sugar levels to shoot up. It's better to find truly sugar-free refreshing options.

Beti, everything in life should be balanced. For those with 'sugar disease', anything with a lot of sweetness should be avoided. Sherbet is usually very sweet. It is better to choose natural things like plain water or nimbu paani without sugar. This brings peace to the body.
