Is sea salt good for diabetics?

I'm diabetic and trying to cut down on regular salt. My wife suggested using sea salt instead. Is sea salt a better option or good for diabetics compared to regular table salt?

Honestly, no, sea salt isn't really 'good' for diabetics specifically. It's still salt, after all.

As someone with thyroid, I'm always careful about what I consume, especially salt. For diabetes, the key is overall sodium intake, not really the type of salt. Always best to check your sugar levels regularly and talk to your doctor about diet plans, just like I do for my thyroid.

My doctor always tells me to watch my salt intake because of my high BP, regardless of whether it's sea salt or regular. For diabetes too, managing overall sodium and leading a healthy lifestyle is very important. Regular checkups are a must!

I had some complications because I didn't take my diet seriously enough initially. Please be very careful with any dietary advice when it comes to diabetes. Don't rely on general info, speak to an endocrinologist or a dietitian who specialises in diabetes. Your health is not something to take chances with.

My dear, the most important thing is to take care of your body and keep a positive mind. Whether it's sea salt or regular, balance is key. Listen to your body and what your doctor advises. Stay calm, everything will be good.

It's so confusing na, all these different salts! When I was first diagnosed, I felt so overwhelmed trying to figure out what was 'good' and 'bad'. Don't stress too much, just remember moderation and listen to your doctor. It gets easier.
