Is scarlet fever itchy?

My little one developed a rash a few days ago, and the pediatrician mentioned scarlet fever might be a possibility. The rash looks a bit red and bumpy, and I was wondering if it's supposed to be itchy too? He's been a little fussy.

Oh, that rash can definitely make you want to scratch like crazy! But don't scratch too much, warna it might get worse. Maybe some light, cooling food like curd rice or kheer might make you feel better from inside, no?

Yeah, the rash usually comes with some itchiness. It's like tiny red bumps. My friend's kid had it, and she was really uncomfortable. They used some calamine lotion her doctor recommended, maybe that helps. Don't scratch too hard haan!

Bro, from what I've heard, that rash is super itchy. Like, sandpaper type feels. So yeah, definitely. You should probably ask a doctor what to put on it though, not just any cream.
