Is saltwater good for eczema?

My skin has been quite dry and flaky lately, almost like eczema patches. I heard that saltwater can be soothing. Can saltwater baths actually be good for eczema, or should I stick to regular moisturizers?

Seriously? Saltwater for eczema? This sounds like another one of those internet fads. Eczema needs proper medical attention, not just pouring salty water on it. You should always confirm such 'remedies' with a doctor, otherwise you risk making it worse.

Oh my god, I always get so anxious about what to use for skin problems. Saltwater sounds like it could dry out the skin even more, which is the last thing you want with eczema, right? But then maybe it helps with bacteria? It's all so confusing, I'd definitely need a doctor's green light before trying anything like that.

Dude, I had eczema on my hands for a bit. My friends told me to try saltwater but it just made it super dry and stingy. Ended up just using the cream my doc gave. Maybe works for some, but not for me. My skin was not a fan.

Please, don't ignore eczema or try unverified remedies. I once had a skin issue and just tried home remedies, thinking it was nothing. It turned into a nasty infection that took ages to clear. Always get it checked by a dermatologist, they know best.

Saltwater for eczema? At this point, I'd try anything to get some sleep without scratching all night. 😂 But honestly, my skin is so sensitive, I'd probably end up looking like a human prawn. Think I'll stick to my prescribed creams and pray for a full night's rest.

I've been reading about this too! Some sources say it can reduce inflammation, but others warn about dryness. It's so confusing when you're just trying to figure out what works. Guess the only way to know for sure is a proper medical consultation.

With high BP, I am very careful about anything with salt. Even externally, I would be hesitant to use a lot of saltwater, just in case. For eczema, my doctor always stressed gentle cleansing and good moisturizers. Better to get regular checkups and follow doctor's advice for such issues.

My grandmother used to say the sea water was good for all skin, but for eczema, it can be tricky. Some people find it soothing, but for others, it might dry the skin too much. It is always wise to ask your skin doctor, they will know what is best for your specific condition. Please take care.
