Is sabudana good for diabetes?

My family loves sabudana khichdi, and I've always heard it's quite light. However, I was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Is sabudana good for diabetics, or should I avoid it due to its starchy nature?

Sabudana is high in carbohydrates, ji, so generally, it's not considered very good for diabetics as it can spike blood sugar levels quickly. My doctor always advises caution. It's better to stick to low GI foods.

Dude, sabudana is mostly starch na? I don't think it's a good idea for diabetes. My dadi has diabetes and she completely avoids it. Better to have stuff like ragi or oats.

Please, if you have diabetes, do not take advice from anyone online about food. What might be okay for one person can be dangerous for another. Always consult your endocrinologist or a registered dietitian. They can give you personalized diet plans.

From what I've learned about nutrition, sabudana has a high glycemic index because it's mainly starch. This means it can raise blood sugar levels quite fast. So, for managing diabetes, it's usually recommended to limit or avoid it. Focus on whole grains and proteins instead.

Nope, sabudana is a no-go for diabetics. It's essentially tapioca starch, which translates to quick sugar spikes. Stick to high-fiber, low-GI foods. Consult a nutritionist if you're confused.

My uncle has diabetes and he completely cut out sabudana from his diet on doctor's recommendation. He used to love sabudana khichdi during fasts. Now he makes it with quinoa sometimes. So, from his experience, it's not good.
