Is russet potatoes good for diabetics?

I have type 2 diabetes and generally try to limit my potato intake because of the carbs. I've seen russet potatoes being used in some healthy recipes. Are russet potatoes good for diabetics, or should I stick to other vegetables?

Potatoes, including russets, have a high glycemic index, which can spike blood sugar. For diabetics, it's generally advised to limit them. My doctor always stresses regular check-ups and a balanced diet. Small lifestyle changes make a big difference.

Bete, aalu toh sabhi log khate hain, par jinhe sugar ki bimari hai unhe thoda kam hi khaana chahiye. Doctor se pooch kar hi kuch bhi khao, ghar mein bhi hum log kehte hain sab kuch thoda thoda hi khana chahiye.

Russet potatoes are quite starchy, so generally not the best choice for diabetics because they can raise blood sugar levels quickly. My family always says moderation is key, but for health conditions like diabetes, it's always best to follow your doctor's specific advice.

Hey, I've heard that potatoes in general, especially the starchy ones like russets, aren't ideal for diabetics because of their carb content. It's usually better to go for low-GI veggies. Maybe try sweet potatoes in smaller portions, my dietician suggested that.

Haan na, russet potatoes mein carbs zyada hote hain. Diabetics ke liye, generally, low-carb options better hote hain. Agar khana hi hai toh very little quantity mein ya phir boiled, aur saath mein fibre rich sabzi ke saath khaana chahiye, that's what my doc told me.
