Is running bad for pcos?

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and am trying to figure out the best exercise routine. Someone told me running might not be good for PCOS. Is running bad for PCOS, or is that a myth?

I don't have PCOS, so I can't give medical advice. However, general consensus for many conditions is that moderate exercise is usually beneficial. For something specific like PCOS, it's truly best to ask a doctor who knows your personal health history.

Running, if done with awareness and without excessive strain, can be good for overall health. For PCOS, gentle movements and stress reduction are often recommended. Listen to your body; if running feels good and energizing, it's likely beneficial. But always with medical advice.

For any specific condition like PCOS, it's really important to get personalized medical advice. What works for one person might not work for another. Please consult your gynaecologist or an endocrinologist before starting or continuing a running routine.

Oh, this is such a valid concern! I always overthink how every activity affects my body, especially with health conditions. Running is intense, so it makes sense to wonder. I'd be so worried about inflammation or hormone spikes. A doctor's opinion is a must here.

I'm new to learning about PCOS and exercise. I thought running was always good. So, for PCOS, is it because of the high impact, or something about how it affects hormones? Should women with PCOS avoid high-intensity exercises in general?

PCOS and running? Well, your body is unique, yaar! What's 'bad' for one might be 'awesome' for another. Don't let internet gurus dictate your fitness. Consult a doc, they'll tell you if your hormones are game for a sprint or prefer a leisurely walk. No need to stress the internal plumbing!

I've heard mixed things about high-intensity exercise and PCOS, like it can sometimes worsen hormone imbalances for some. So I'm always hesitant to recommend running to my friends with PCOS. Has anyone here with PCOS actually found running to be beneficial or detrimental?
