Is rsv contagious without fever?

My baby has a cough and a runny nose, but no fever, and our neighbor said it could be RSV. I'm worried about other family members getting it. Is RSV contagious even without a fever?

Even with my BP, I've learned that symptoms can be tricky. Yes, I've heard that RSV can spread even without a fever. It's like a cold, you can pass it on before you feel really sick. Important to wash hands and be careful, especially around children.

For common colds, we always used kaadha and haldi doodh. But for something like RSV, which I hear can be serious for babies, I wouldn't rely on just that. If someone is sick, even without fever, it's safest to assume it can spread. Better to see a doctor if symptoms are worrying.

In our time, we just called everything a 'cold' or 'flu'. But yes, a cough or runny nose can spread infection even if there's no fever. It's common sense, beta, when someone is sick, keep distance and wash hands. That's how illnesses spread, fever or no fever.

Even a small cough or cold can carry germs, child. Fever is just one sign. We always taught children to cover their mouth when they cough and not share things when they have even a slight cold. It is a good practice to follow for any illness.

Ugh, a cold without fever is still a cold, and no fun! I just want to eat comfort food when I'm under the weather. But yes, I think any respiratory infection can spread without a fever. Like, when you just have a sniffle, you can still pass on germs, right?

Bhai, yes, it can be contagious. Just like a normal cold, you don't always get a fever, but you can still pass it on. Better to keep distance and keep your hands clean if you feel even a little bit off, especially with kids around.

Oh god, this is what worries me! The silent spreaders! So, someone can be carrying RSV, look perfectly fine, no fever, and still give it to others? Especially for little babies, that's so scary. We have to be so careful about touching surfaces and washing hands, even more so now.

Practical solution: assume any cold-like symptoms are contagious, even without fever. Better to be safe. Keep hand sanitizer handy, avoid crowded places if you're sniffling, and definitely don't visit babies or elderly folks if you're unwell.

Honestly, there's so much misinformation out there. For something like RSV, which can be quite serious for vulnerable groups, you shouldn't rely on what people say online. Ask a proper doctor if it's contagious without fever. They will give you the facts, not guesses.
