Is rowing good for lower back pain?

My lower back has been bothering me for a while now, especially after sitting for long hours. I'm looking for exercises that won't strain it further. Is rowing considered good for lower back pain?

Rowing can be good, but only if your form is absolutely spot-on. If you round your back or don't engage your core properly, it can worsen lower back pain. Better to get a trainer to check your technique first. Core strength is key here.

My uncle had back pain, and his doctor suggested some exercises, but specifically warned about wrong posture. So, while rowing might strengthen some muscles, it is very important to do it correctly. Please ask your doctor or a physical therapist, they will guide you best.

Rowing, ho na, it can be tricky for the back. If you have lower back pain already, you need to be super careful. Thoda bhi wrong posture hua na, it can make it worse. Maybe start with very light weights or just bodyweight exercises first, after consulting a doc.

I used to have lower back stiffness, and I found rowing helped me strengthen my back, but I made sure my form was perfect. I can only share my experience, but for actual back pain, it's always best to consult a physiotherapist first.

I had terrible lower back pain a few months ago. My physio actually recommended *against* heavy rowing initially, until my core was stronger. He said light rowing with perfect form, or just bodyweight exercises, were better. So, be very cautious and get expert advice.

From a yogic perspective, strengthening the core is vital for back health. Rowing can engage the core, but if there is existing pain, gentler movements and proper alignment are crucial. Perhaps some gentle stretches and core work, and then slowly introduce rowing with proper guidance.

Oh, back pain is the worst! I'm always scared of making it worse with exercise. I've heard rowing can either help or hurt, depending on how you do it. Has anyone here actually found relief from lower back pain with rowing, or did it make it worse for anyone?
