Is rheumatoid arthritis life threatening?

My neighbour has rheumatoid arthritis and she's been really struggling lately, having many complications. It makes me concerned about her overall health. Is rheumatoid arthritis life-threatening in the long run?

Please do not ignore this. While RA itself doesn't cause sudden death, the chronic inflammation can lead to severe cardiovascular complications if not managed. I learned this the hard way after neglecting my treatment. Please see a proper rheumatologist regularly.

It is not directly life-threatening, but if left untreated, it can affect other organs like the heart and lungs over time. When we went to Manipal Hospital, the doctor emphasized starting early treatment to prevent these systemic issues. Definitely consult a specialist to get a clear picture.

No, it is not a life-threatening illness. It is just a challenge our physical body has to face. Keep your mind peaceful, practice deep breathing, eat pure foods, and follow your medical treatments with a calm and positive heart.

I have lived with RA for nearly thirty years now, and I am still here talking to you. In my youth, I also worried if it would cut my life short, but with modern medicines, you can live a full, normal life span. Do not let fear weaken your heart.

I have been managing my RA for 12 years, and I can tell you it's not life-threatening. The trick is to keep your disease activity low with regular medication and low-impact exercise. Be disciplined with your checkups and you'll live a long, happy life.

It is not life-threatening, so please take a deep breath and relax. It is a painful condition, yes, but it is manageable. I hope you find the right doctor who can bring you comfort soon.

Stop reading those alarmist articles online that link RA to random deadly conditions. It is a manageable chronic disease, not some terminal illness. Always verify any medical concerns directly with a certified rheumatologist rather than trusting random internet posts.
