Is rheumatoid arthritis curable?

My mother-in-law has been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis for many years. She takes a lot of medicines, but the pain comes and goes. I wanted to know if this condition is actually curable, or if she will have to live with it forever.

To be honest, there is no permanent cure, but you can absolutely manage it and go into remission. Focus on strength training to support your joints and eat clean to keep inflammation low. Just work closely with your physiotherapist and doctor to see what exercises work for you.

It can feel very heavy to hear that it has no cure, but please stay strong. With modern medicines, most people manage the pain very well. I hope you find the right doctor and get some relief soon.

Oh god, I completely understand the panic when you look up chronic diseases. Actually, it cannot be cured 100%, which sounds terrifying, but my friend's mom has it and she manages perfectly fine with her weekly meds. Just make sure to get regular checkups so the doctors can adjust the dosage properly.

Listen, don't stress too much about the word 'incurable', okay? Yes, science says there is no complete cure, but people live totally normal lives with the right meds. Just take it one day at a time, listen to your doc, and don't let Google scare you!

I have been dealing with RA for the last ten years now. While it's true there's no permanent cure, early treatment makes a huge difference. Regular medications from my rheumatologist keep my pain completely in control, so please don't delay your clinic visits.
