Is rheumatic fever curable?

My aunt was diagnosed with rheumatic fever as a child, and I always thought it was a lifelong condition. Is rheumatic fever curable, or is it something people live with for good? I'm trying to understand more about it for her.

Yes, it is curable if caught early with proper antibiotics. Just make sure the entire course of medication is completed without any breaks.

Yes, it is treatable with proper antibiotics to clear the infection. Once the doctor says you are fully recovered and your heart is safe, you can slowly start light walking to rebuild your stamina.

It can be cured, but the treatment and tests like echocardiograms can be a bit expensive if not planned. Go to a government hospital or a trust hospital where cardiac monitoring and throat swab tests are done at very nominal rates.

It is completely curable if treated immediately with antibiotics, but negligence can cause permanent heart damage. Don't waste time on alternate therapies; go straight to an allopathic doctor.

Yes, it is cured with simple penicillin or other antibiotics. The key is to take the long-term preventive doses that doctors prescribe so it doesn't attack again.
