Is renal kidney?

My mother recently had some kidney issues, and the doctor kept using the word 'renal'. I'm a bit confused, are renal and kidney the same thing? Just trying to understand better.

Yes, 'renal' means kidney. Just like I have to do regular thyroid tests to keep track of my levels, you should also get routine KFT (Kidney Function Test) done if a doctor suggested any renal scans.

Yes! I spent weeks searching this when my ultrasound showed a 'renal cyst'. It literally just means a cyst on the kidney. Totally recovered now, so don't worry about the term.

Yes, they mean the same. I remember crying for hours when I saw 'renal' on my mother's report, thinking it was some rare disease. It is completely okay to feel overwhelmed by these medical words.

Haan na, both are same. Renal calculus matlab kidney stone hi hota hai. Doctors bas different words use karte hain, tension mat lo.

Haan yaar, renal and kidney are exactly the same thing. Don't stress too much about these heavy English words, they just make simple things sound scary!

Yes, renal is the medical adjective for kidney. For example, renal health on your fitness app simply refers to how well your kidneys are filtering fluids.
