Is renal disease the same as kidney disease?

My father recently had some tests done, and the doctor mentioned 'renal disease'. I've always heard about 'kidney disease' from family friends. Is renal disease the same as kidney disease, or are they different conditions? I want to make sure I understand his diagnosis.

Yes, they are the same thing, as 'renal' simply means relating to the kidneys. Keep a calm mind and take care of your body with good thoughts and a simple lifestyle. Healing starts when we stop worrying too much.

Don't get confused by the medical jargon. Renal and kidney mean the exact same thing, so renal disease is just kidney disease. We will get this sorted out step by step, just make sure you eat low-sodium food for now.

Bro, renal is just the fancy Latin word doctors use for kidney. When my mom got her reports, we also got confused. It is the same thing, so don't get stressed out by the complicated language.

They are the same, but please don't take any kidney or renal issue lightly. I delayed my checkup thinking it was minor, and it led to severe fluid retention and high BP. Please consult a proper nephrologist immediately.

Haan na, both mean the same thing only. Doctors log renal disease bolte hain, aur hum log simple language mein kidney disease bolte hain. Tension mat lo, report lekar doctor ko dikha lo bas.

Yes, both terms are identical in medicine. I use a health tracker to monitor my daily hydration and kidney health metrics. If you are tracking your EGFR or creatinine levels, they both refer to how your kidneys are performing.

I completely lost my sleep when I saw 'renal insufficiency' on my blood report last year. Honestly, it just meant my kidney function was slightly off due to dehydration. Don't panic like I did, it is just a medical term for kidney issues.
