Is reflux a sign of heart attack?

My uncle had a heart attack recently, and he said he felt some burning in his chest before that. I've been experiencing a lot of acid reflux symptoms lately, and it's making me anxious. Is reflux a sign of a heart attack?

Bro, honestly this thought freaked me out so much during my exams when I had major acidity. Actually, severe reflux can feel just like chest pain sometimes, but if there's any breathlessness or pain in your arm, don't wait at all. Just go get it checked by a doc immediately.

I can't say if it is the same for everyone, but last year my dad had severe burning that we thought was normal acidity. It turned out to be a heart issue, and the doctor told us never to ignore sudden, heavy chest pressure thinking it is just gas.

Look, simple rule. If you just have a sour taste and throat burn, it is likely reflux. But if you are sweating heavily, feeling dizzy, or have a tight chest, stop searching on the internet and go straight to the nearest ER. It's better to be safe than sorry.

My sleep schedule is so ruined that my reflux and anxiety literally take turns to keep me awake. Half the time I am holding my chest wondering if it's the late-night maggi or a heart attack. But seriously, if you feel heavy pressure in your chest, please see a doctor immediately.

We always consult specialists at Fortis for these things because you cannot take chances. A cardiologist once explained to me that the nerves for the stomach and heart are close, which is why reflux feels like a heart issue. Go to a proper hospital and get an ECG done to be absolutely sure.

Through years of regular pranayama, I have learned to understand my body's signals well. Simple acid reflux usually eases with deep breathing and sitting upright, but if there is sudden squeezing chest pain, it is a medical emergency. Please consult a doctor immediately if you have any doubt.

Yaar, after three plates of spicy biryani, my chest burns like crazy and I always panic for a second. Usually a cold glass of milk or some gelusil settles my spicy food adventures, but if the pain is radiating to your back or neck, that is not food. Go see a doctor immediately.
