Is red rice good for diabetes?

My doctor recently diagnosed me with diabetes, and I'm trying to make changes to my diet. I heard from a neighbour that red rice is a good option. Is red rice really good for diabetes management?

I always worry about my rice intake because of spikes, but red rice has a lower glycemic index than white rice. Still, I get so anxious about the portion size because even healthy carbs can raise levels if we eat too much. I think measuring it carefully is key.

Don't stress too much about cutting out rice completely, buddy! Red rice is actually a great alternative because it has lots of fiber and antioxidants. Just replace your normal white rice with this, keep the portion sensible, and you're good to go.

Red rice is very rich in natural nutrients and fiber, which is much better than polished white rice. You can cook it with lots of vegetables like a pulao to make it healthier. However, if your sugar is constantly high, please visit a doctor for a proper checkup.

At least we don't have to survive only on boiled vegetables! Red rice actually tastes quite nice and nutty once you get used to it. Think of it as the cooler, healthier cousin of white rice who actually cares about your pancreas.

Haan na, white rice toh sugar badhata hai fast. Red rice is much better because it digests slowly and doesn't cause sudden spikes. My uncle switched to it and his evening energy levels are much better now. Try it out!

Red rice is a bit more expensive than regular white rice, but it is cheaper than buying expensive diabetic-specific food brands. To see if it actually works for you, check your sugar before and after eating it. Regular glucometer strips are a worthy investment to plan your budget and diet.
