Is red light therapy good for psoriasis?

I suffer from psoriasis, and it's often quite painful and itchy. A colleague mentioned red light therapy helped their skin condition. Does anyone have experience or information about whether red light therapy is good for psoriasis?

My cousin had really bad psoriasis patches on her elbows and red light therapy helped a lot in reducing the thickness of the scales. It is not an instant cure, but it definitely makes the skin look much smoother and less angry. Just make sure to pair it with a very thick moisturizer afterward.

Hey there! Yes, red light therapy is actually great for psoriasis! It works by reducing the inflammation and helping the skin heal much faster. 😊 Just make sure you do it under a doctor's guidance so you get the correct settings!

I totally get it, dealing with the constant itching and red patches of psoriasis is physically and mentally exhausting. Red light therapy is known to be very gentle and helps slow down the rapid skin cell growth. It is definitely worth looking into if you want a steroid-free option to manage your flares.

It can be very comforting for the skin. Many people find that red light therapy gently calms down the redness and scaling without causing any pain. I hope your skin finds some relief soon, please take care.

Psoriasis is a complex autoimmune condition, so I always recommend visiting a proper hospital like Fortis or Manipal for specialized phototherapy. The doctors there can determine if narrow-band UVB or red light is better suited for your specific type of psoriasis. Don't self-treat at home without their clearance.

I used red light therapy for my scalp psoriasis and it actually cleared up the worst of my plaques in a few weeks. It is much better than applying sticky ointments every single day. Just get a proper device or go to a skin clinic, don't waste time on cheap duplicates.
