Is recurrent bv a sign of cancer?

I've been dealing with BV quite often in the last few months, and it's really stressing me out. Someone mentioned that recurrent infections can sometimes be a sign of something serious. Is recurrent BV actually linked to cancer?

Honestly, I had the same scare last year because my BV kept coming back every two months. I did so much reading online and then finally asked my gynecologist about it. She clearly told me that recurrent BV is usually just due to a stubborn pH imbalance or biofilms, not cancer. Still, she got some specific swab tests done to rule out other infections just to be 100% sure.

Usually it is just our body's flora getting disturbed, so don't jump to the worst conclusion. Eating fresh dahi daily and avoiding scented soaps down there helps a lot with maintaining the right balance. But if you are having unusual bleeding, severe pain, or if it just won't go away, please see a gynecologist to get a proper checkup.

Beta, in my younger days, I also used to get these infections quite often and would worry endlessly. It is almost never cancer, just a common feminine issue that happens when the body's natural balance is slightly off. Keep yourself dry, wear loose cotton clothes, and go visit a lady doctor once to get the right ointment.

My partner went through this cycle and her doc told her it's mostly related to gut health and immunity. Sweating a lot during workouts and staying in wet gym clothes can also trigger it, so try changing immediately after your session. Focus on clean eating and staying hydrated, but definitely get a medical opinion to keep your mind at peace.

I always prefer going to a proper hospital like Apollo or Aster for these things instead of searching online and panicking. I had recurrent infections too and my doctor did a thorough screening to explain why it was happening. Just book an appointment with a senior gynecologist, ask all your questions openly, and let them guide you.
