Is psoriatic arthritis autoimmune?

I've been feeling quite tired and have persistent joint pain along with my skin problems. The doctor mentioned psoriatic arthritis as a possibility. I want to know, is psoriatic arthritis autoimmune, as in, does my immune system play a role in this?

Honestly, when I first read about this, I completely freaked out. I thought it was some life-threatening emergency, but my doctor explained it simply. Yes, it is autoimmune, which just means your own immune system gets a bit confused and attacks the joints, but it is highly manageable once you get on the right track.

Yes, it is autoimmune! My chachi has it and she had to cut down on all her favourite oily street foods because inflammation spikes up. It's all about keeping your gut happy and managing those cravings while following what your rheumatologist says.

Haan yaar, our own body starts acting like an over-enthusiastic relative who interferes in everything! It is autoimmune, meaning your immune system is working overtime against your joints. At this age, you just learn to laugh at these daily aches and consult your doctor regularly.

Listen, don't stress yourself out reading random things online. Yes, psoriatic arthritis is technically an autoimmune condition, but that doesn't mean you can't live a perfectly normal life. Just make sure you get a proper diagnosis from a good rheumatologist and stay consistent with whatever they advise.

I have been dealing with joint issues for over twenty years now. Yes, it falls under the autoimmune category where the body's defenses get confused. But trust me, with the right routine, simple home cooked meals, and a trusted doctor, you can manage it beautifully without losing your peace of mind.

Having dealt with PCOS, I know how frustrating it is when your hormones and immune system act up. Psoriatic arthritis is indeed autoimmune, which can feel quite overwhelming to process. I always suggest talking to a specialist instead of trying to figure it out on your own.

Yeah bro, it is definitely autoimmune. I got diagnosed last year after suffering from crazy joint pain and skin patches. Basically, your body attacks its own tissues, but getting on the right meds early makes a massive difference, so don't delay your doctor visit.

Actually, my rheumatologist explained this in detail during my last checkup. Psoriatic arthritis occurs when your immune system targets the joints and skin, making it a classic autoimmune disorder. He emphasized that early intervention with disease-modifying drugs is key to preventing long-term joint damage.
