Is psoriasis painful?

My colleague has psoriasis, and sometimes I see her looking quite uncomfortable. She doesn't talk much about it, but I'm curious about the experience. I was wondering, is psoriasis painful, or is it more of an itchy sensation?

Haan, jab ye zakham ki tarah fatt jata hai to bohot dard hota hai. Humare yahan log isme haldi lagate hain, par hum kahenge ki doctor se dikha kar hi dawai lagayein taaki dard jaldi theek ho.

Sometimes the body goes through physical pain when the skin is dry and broken. Keep your spirit strong and practice deep breathing; it helps the body bear the discomfort with more peace.

Yes, it can become painful when the patches get too dry or inflamed. Please take good care and don't hesitate to consult your doctor for pain-relief options.

It can be painful if the skin cracks, especially on the hands or feet. But don't worry too much! Keeping it soft with a nice thick cream prevents those painful cracks.

I didn't realize it could actually hurt. Does the pain happen only when you scratch it, or does it hurt constantly even without touching?
