Is psoriasis common?

I've started seeing a few red, scaly patches on my elbows and I'm worried it might be psoriasis. My friend said it's quite rare, but then I see people talking about it online. Is psoriasis common, or is it something that doesn't affect many people?

Haan beta, ye bohot logo ko hota hai. Maine as-pas bohot logo ko neem ke paani se nahate dekha hai iske liye. Gharelu nuskhe thoda aaram dete hain, par doctor ki dawa sabse zaroori hai.

Yes, my doctor told me it affects millions of people worldwide. It can develop at any age, but usually shows up between 15 to 35. It is a very well-documented condition.

I completely understand why you are asking, I also panicked when I first got a skin issue. It's actually very common globally and in India. You are definitely not alone in this.
