Is psoriasis caused by parasites?

My neighbor has developed psoriasis, and her family is trying to understand the cause. Someone told them it could be from parasites, but that sounds a bit strange to me. Is psoriasis caused by parasites? I'm looking for reliable information.

No, it's not caused by parasites. I ignored my symptoms for months thinking it was just a worm infection or dust allergy, and it got much worse. Please get a proper diagnosis from a skin specialist.

No, dear, parasites have nothing to do with it. My son has psoriasis and it's an autoimmune condition where his own skin cells grow too fast. It's not because of any worms or lack of hygiene.

Please don't buy into those online detox products claiming to cure psoriasis by removing parasites. Psoriasis is genetic and autoimmune. Verify everything with a certified doctor before trying random therapies.

It is not caused by parasites. It is an internal disharmony of your immune system. Doing daily pranayama and consuming a clean diet can help balance your body naturally.

Bro, no way. Psoriasis is autoimmune, not some parasite inside you. Don't believe those weird WhatsApp forwards about worm cleanses. Just show a dermatologist.
