Is protein powder bad for your liver?

My son started using protein powder for gym, and I'm a bit worried as I've heard too much can harm the liver. Is protein powder generally bad for your liver, or is it safe in moderation?

I love eating everything, but to balance my gym routine, I started taking whey. My liver is doing absolutely fine, but honestly, the key is not to replace real, delicious food with powders. Treat it like a small supplement, not your main meal!

Scientific consensus suggests that high-quality protein powder doesn't damage a healthy liver when consumed in recommended quantities. However, heavily contaminated or cheap brands can contain heavy metals or steroids that cause toxicity. It is always wise to clear it with your physician first.

My elders always tell me to stay away from artificial powders and stick to traditional buttermilk and ragi. However, my doctor explained that genuine whey protein is just processed milk liquid and quite safe for the liver in moderation. I balance both my family's wisdom and my doctor's advice.

Our bodies are beautiful, self-healing temples, so we must feed them with love and mindfulness. If you choose to take protein powder, do so with a calm mind, but try to prioritize natural, fresh foods first. Stay positive, keep your thoughts pure, and take gentle care of your health.

Man, between my late-night office shifts and crying baby, my liver has bigger things to worry about than a scoop of whey protein. It has been fine for me so far, just don't buy those shady brands from local gym trainers who promise overnight muscles.

Bro, half my hostel mates survive on whey protein because the mess food has zero protein. None of us have had any liver issues, but we make sure to buy only certified brands and check the lab reports online before purchasing.
