Actually, protein is quite good for fatty liver, yaar. It helps reduce fat accumulation in the liver cells. Just avoid fatty meats and stick to lean sources like paneer or fish.

My father was just diagnosed with fatty liver grade 1. Is it safe to give him normal dal and egg whites, or do we need to restrict protein too?

Yes, a diet with good protein and low carbs is highly recommended for reversing fatty liver. Try to include sprouts, curd, and boiled chana in your daily meals to keep it healthy.

Yes, adequate protein is essential for liver repair and regeneration. Just make sure you get it from natural, low-fat sources and avoid heavy protein supplements unless advised by your doctor.
