Is pork bad for diabetics?

My brother was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and our family is trying to adjust our cooking habits. We sometimes cook pork at home. Is pork something that diabetics should avoid, or can they have it in moderation?

Actually yaar, my uncle has diabetes and he completely stopped pork because of the high fat content which can affect heart health. It is better to focus on fiber and lean proteins like fish. Keep an eye on your sugar levels, that is key.

I am not a doctor so I won't give medical advice, but in my household, we stopped cooking pork after my father was diagnosed with diabetes. We noticed his digestion and sugar levels stayed much more stable when we stuck to lighter foods and green veggies.

I understand how tough it is to manage diabetes every single day. Instead of heavy red meats like pork which can put pressure on your kidneys and heart, try incorporating methi water in the morning and lighter proteins like moong dal chilla.

I completely agree with avoiding heavy meats. It is always safest to get a routine HbA1c test done and discuss a personalized food plan with your family doctor.
