Is poppi good for diabetics?
My husband has diabetes, and we saw this 'Poppi' drink in the store that claims to be good for gut health. We were thinking of trying it. Is Poppi a good option for diabetics, or should we be careful?

Poppi soda me sugar toh normal soft drink se bahut kam hoti hai, toh kabhi-kabhi chalta hai. Par roz-roz peene ki aadat mat dalo, ghar pe nimbu paani bina chini ke banao, wo sabse sasta aur safe ilaaj hai.
I have seen many young people asking about prebiotic sodas like Poppi. While they have much lower sugar than regular colas, they still contain fruit juice concentrates which can affect your blood glucose. It is always better to stick to natural butter milk or warm water.
Beta, ye sab botal wali dukan ki cheezein diabetes me thoda parhez hi rakho toh achha hai. Hamare yahan toh log dahi ki lassi ya sattu ka ghol peete hain jo pet ke liye bhi bada shubha hota hai aur sugar bhi nahi badhata.
Honestly, I'm too tired to check every single label, but Poppi has around 5g of sugar. It’s way better than standard soda, but if your sugar levels are running high, even that 5g might cause a spike. Better to stick to plain soda with a squeeze of lime.
Haan na, regular coke se toh Poppi bohot better option hai kyuki sugar kam hai. But still, it has some sweetening agents ho na, so we should not drink it blindly. Moderation is always key for diabetes!
Don't stress too much about missing out on fizzy drinks! Poppi has very low sugar, so an occasional can is totally fine if your diabetes is mostly under control. Just don't make it a daily habit and you're good.
Any drink with cane sugar or fruit juice can impact your blood glucose levels. I always advise getting your HbA1c checked and asking your endocrinologist if prebiotic sodas are safe for your specific health condition.
