Is polyester bad for eczema?

I have really sensitive skin and eczema, and sometimes certain fabrics make it worse. I was wondering, is polyester bad for eczema? Should I avoid clothes made of it?

Yes, many people with eczema find polyester irritating. It doesn't breathe well, which can make skin hot and sweaty, leading to more itching. Natural fibers are usually better.

I completely understand the anxiety around choosing the right fabrics when you have eczema. It feels like everything can trigger it! Yes, polyester is often a big no for eczema because it traps heat and moisture, which can really worsen itching and irritation. I'd definitely avoid it.

Dude, for sure. Polyester makes my skin super itchy and hot, especially if I'm sweating a bit. It doesn't let your skin breathe at all. I switched to cotton shirts for everything and it's made a huge difference. Don't wear polyester if you have eczema, it's just asking for trouble.

From my experience, natural fabrics like cotton or linen are always best for sensitive skin. Polyester can definitely make eczema worse by causing sweat and irritation. While trying natural solutions can help with mild issues, for severe eczema, always consult a dermatologist to find the right treatment.

Oh, trust me on this, polyester can be really bad for eczema. I once thought 'it's just clothes, what's the big deal?' and ignored my itchy skin, wearing synthetic stuff. It got so much worse! Please don't make my mistake; stick to breathable fabrics and if your eczema is bad, get a proper checkup with a skin specialist.
