Is polycystic kidney disease inherited?

My father was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease a few years ago. Now I'm wondering about my own risk and if it passes down. Is polycystic kidney disease inherited from parents?

Haan, beti, yeh bimari toh khandani hoti hai. Mere rishtedar mein ek ko tha, aur uske bachchon ko bhi hua. Aisi cheezon mein koi gharelu nuskha kaam nahi aata, sirf doctor hi sahi raasta dikha sakte hain. Jald se jald unse milo aur saari jaankari lo.

Yeah, bro, it is. Polycystic Kidney Disease is mostly inherited. If your parents have it, there's a good chance you might get it too. It's genetics, simple as that. Best to get checked if there's family history.

Absolutely, it's mostly inherited. So, if there's a history in your family, the most practical thing is to get regular check-ups, even if you feel fine. Early detection makes a big difference in managing it. It's like having a family car, you know its history, so you service it properly.

Most definitely. PKD is largely an inherited condition. The genes responsible get passed down. So, if you have a family history of it, especially on either side of your parents, it's super important to discuss this with a doctor for screening and proactive management. Don't ignore family history with this one.

Haan, hamare gaon mein bhi kai baar dekha hai, yeh bimari peedhi dar peedhi chalti hai. Agar maa-baap ko hai toh bachchon ko bhi ho sakti hai. Isiliye pehle se dhyan rakhna chahiye aur doctor se salah leni chahiye. Bhagwan sab theek karenge.

Inherited? Man, some things are just unlucky genetic draws, right? Like how I inherited my dad's sweet tooth! But seriously, if PKD is in the family, it's not about what you eat or crave, it's about getting tested. Health is wealth, even more than biryani!
