Is pizza bad for diabetics?

I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and trying to figure out my diet. I love pizza, but I'm worried about the sugar and carbs. Is pizza completely bad for diabetics?

Yeah man, pizza is generally not good for diabetics. The refined carbs in the crust and sometimes sugary sauces can mess with blood sugar. My uncle has diabetes and his doc told him to avoid it or have very small portions of thin crust whole wheat ones.

I totally get it, it's hard to avoid all your favorite foods. But for diabetics, pizza, especially the regular kind with white flour and cheese, can cause a big spike in blood sugar. Best to limit it or find healthier alternatives.

Definitely not ideal. Pizza is usually high in carbs and fats, which can lead to rapid blood sugar increases. It's best avoided or consumed in very small, controlled portions after consulting your doctor or a dietician.

Haan ji, pizza toh generally achha nahi hai diabetics ke liye. Maida hota hai aur cheese bhi. Blood sugar badha deta hai. Better to skip it ya phir bahut kam khana hai toh doctor se pooch ke.

As a friend, I'd say pizza is not your best friend if you're diabetic. It's got too much simple carbs and fats. It's better to choose foods with a lower glycemic index to keep your sugar levels stable. Occasional tiny piece might be okay but check with your doctor.

Just like managing thyroid needs careful diet, diabetes needs it even more. Pizza's high carb and fat content is a red flag. Always monitor your blood sugar after such meals and consult your doctor for personalized dietary advice.

My son has juvenile diabetes, so we are very careful. Pizza is definitely on the 'limit strictly' list. We sometimes make a homemade version with whole wheat base and lots of veggies, but even then, it's rare and after checking his sugars.

I had high blood sugar a few months back and my doctor strictly advised against pizza. It's because of the refined flour and high fat. Even a small slice would impact my sugar readings. Now I stick to healthier meals.
