Is piles a hereditary disease?

My father and his brother both suffer from piles, and now I'm starting to get some symptoms. I'm wondering if this runs in families. Is piles a hereditary disease, doc?

While piles themselves aren't directly hereditary like a gene, a family history of weak vein walls can make you more prone to them. So, it's not like you'll 'get' it because your parents had it, but you might have a higher risk. Best to maintain good diet with fiber and avoid straining.

Ho na, I don't think it's strictly hereditary, but sometimes if your family has a weaker constitution or certain habits like less fiber in diet, it can run in the family. So the tendency might be there. But it's more about lifestyle, I feel. Take care, haan.

My father had piles, and I also got them. It's not exactly hereditary, but some doctors say a family tendency for weak veins or constipation can increase the risk. So, it means you have to be extra careful with your diet and lifestyle. Make sure you eat lots of roughage and drink water, and tell your kids also.

Piles themselves are not a genetic disease you directly inherit. However, there can be a familial predisposition, meaning if your family members have weaker connective tissues or veins, you might be more susceptible. It's crucial to discuss your family history and symptoms clearly with your doctor for an accurate assessment and management plan.

Beta, it's not exactly hereditary like some diseases. But if your family has a tendency for weaker veins or constipation, then chances are higher for you too. Focus on eating lots of fiber, drinking water, and don't sit too long. Some say warm sitz baths help, but always listen to the doctor for proper treatment.

Hereditary? Oh no, please don't add another inherited problem to my list! I think it's more about genes making you prone to it, like how some people get varicose veins. But lifestyle is a big factor. So, eat your greens and don't spend too much time on the commode scrolling on your phone, unless you want to pass on that 'tradition'!

Piles are not really 'hereditary' in the strict sense, but habits and body types can run in families, which might make some more prone to it. So, focus on good habits like eating fiber-rich food and staying hydrated. If it becomes severe, don't just rely on home remedies; definitely see a doctor, especially if there's bleeding.
