Is peroxide good for tooth pain?

My grandmother always used to tell me to put hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball for tooth pain. I have a throbbing toothache right now. Is peroxide actually good for relieving tooth pain, or is it just an old wives' tale?

Oh god, tooth pain. The absolute worst! I've tried everything under the sun in my younger days. Peroxide might help disinfect a bit or numb it for a while, but it's not a solution. It's like putting a band-aid on a gaping wound. Go to a dentist, please, before it gets worse and costs you more headaches.

Haan, log bolte hain gargle karne se thoda relief milta hai for tooth pain, especially for any infection. But ye sirf temporary hai, na. Permanently theek karne ke liye toh dentist ke paas jaana hi padega.

For general oral hygiene, a very diluted peroxide rinse *might* be okay, but for actual tooth pain, that's a symptom of something bigger. It won't fix the root cause. Focus on clean eating and regular check-ups to prevent such issues rather than looking for quick fixes.

I tried everything, even hydrogen peroxide gargles for a toothache once, hoping for some magic. It gave a very, very slight temporary feeling of cleanliness, but the pain came right back. It's not really a pain reliever. A warm saltwater rinse is often more effective and safer for temporary relief until you can see a dentist.

Okay, I've been there with tooth pain, and it's agonizing. Peroxide can offer very temporary relief if there's a gum infection by killing some bacteria. But let me be clear: it's not a treatment. You need to see a dentist. Use it maybe for a few hours if you're really desperate and can't get to a doctor immediately, but make that appointment!

Peroxide for tooth pain? Sounds like a DIY experiment that might just turn your mouth into a science project! Kidding aside, it's not really a proper fix, man. You want to kill the pain, not just bubble it away. Dental clinic is your best friend here.

While keeping your mouth clean is important, using peroxide directly for pain might not be the best idea and can even irritate. For tooth health, a balanced diet with good calcium and avoiding excessive sugary drinks helps a lot. For existing pain, please consult a dentist, they can identify the actual problem.

Please be very careful! I once used a home remedy for tooth pain and it made things much, much worse, leading to an emergency. Peroxide can be irritating if not used properly and won't fix the underlying issue. Any kind of tooth pain means something is wrong, you absolutely need to see a dentist soonest.
