Is passing a kidney stone like giving birth?

I've heard people say that passing a kidney stone is as painful as giving birth. As a man, I can't imagine that kind of pain, but I'm just curious if that comparison is actually accurate. Is it really on that level?

Having just passed a kidney stone last month, I can tell you it was the worst pain of my life. I haven't given birth, but the doctors gave me such strong painkillers because they said it's comparable to labor pain. It's like a constant, sharp, twisting agony.

Haha, I've heard many women say it's even worse than childbirth! 😱 Definitely not a fun experience. Hope you're not going through it! Stay hydrated!💧

My wife gave birth to our children, and she also passed a kidney stone once. She told me the stone pain was more sharp and unexpected. Childbirth pain was intense but had a purpose. Both are very hard, God bless those who go through it.

Many who have experienced both say the pain is very similar in intensity, sometimes kidney stone pain is even called worse because there's no 'end product' like a baby. If you suspect a kidney stone, please go to a doctor immediately for proper pain management and diagnosis, don't try home remedies for this severe pain.

Meri behen ne dono experience kiya hai. She said kidney stone pain is sharper, more like a stabbing pain, and childbirth pain is more like intense pressure and cramping. Both are hell, but different types of hell. Don't wish either on anyone.

The intensity of kidney stone pain is legendary, I've heard. While childbirth is different, both are extreme tests of endurance. For kidney stones, doctors sometimes advise walking or gentle movement if the pain is manageable and the stone is small, to help it pass. But always consult them first.

I totally get why people compare them. I've had friends who said passing a kidney stone was just as, if not more, agonizing than labor. The body goes through immense trauma with either. It's a pain that completely takes over. So much respect for anyone who's been through it.

Oh God, just thinking about kidney stone pain makes me anxious. I've read stories of people saying it's worse than childbirth because it feels so relentless and without a clear 'goal'. I hope no one has to experience such severe pain. Always hydrate well, people!

While I haven't personally experienced either, I've heard from many fitness folks and doctors that kidney stone pain is often compared to childbirth in terms of severity. It really emphasizes the importance of good hydration and a balanced diet to prevent such issues. Stay active and drink enough water, guys!

People often compare these two because both involve intense pain and passing something from the body. While the pain is severe in both, they are medically distinct. If you are experiencing kidney stone symptoms, do not self-diagnose or try internet remedies. See a urologist immediately for proper treatment and pain relief.
