My father is diabetic, and we usually have papaya at home. Someone told us that papaya can be bad for diabetics. Is this true, should he avoid it?

From my experience, papaya is actually quite good for diabetics, but in moderation. I was advised by my dietitian to include it. It's low on the glycemic index compared to some other fruits. Just stick to a small portion, don't overdo it, and it can be a healthy snack.

Oh, really? I always thought sweet fruits were bad for diabetics. So papaya is actually okay? What about other fruits then? Like mangoes, are they also okay in small amounts?

My son is diabetic, and our doctor told us papaya is fine for him, in controlled portions. It has a lower glycemic index. The key is portion control and making sure it's fresh, not canned with added sugar. It's all about balancing the diet, you see.

Actually, no, papaya is generally considered good for diabetics! It has natural sugars but a relatively low glycemic index, which means it doesn't spike blood sugar quickly. Just remember to eat it in moderation, like a small bowl, and don't pair it with other high-sugar foods.

Not bad at all, my child. Papaya has many healing properties and is considered beneficial. For diabetics, in moderate quantity, it helps with digestion and has less sugar compared to many other fruits. Listen to your body and feel how it reacts. A calm mind also helps manage all conditions.
