Is pancreatic cancer genetic?

My father recently got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I'm worried about my own health now. Is there any genetic link for this type of cancer?

Yes, for some people, there can be a genetic link. Our family has a history, so we had to be extra vigilant with screenings for our children. It's not a guarantee, but it does increase the risk. Talk to a genetic counselor if you have concerns about family history.

It can be, yes, but not in all cases. About 5-10% of pancreatic cancers are thought to be hereditary. If there's a strong family history, particularly with multiple relatives having pancreatic cancer or other related cancers, it's wise to get genetic counseling. It helps a lot to understand your personal risk.

Yes, it can be genetic for some people! 🧬 If you have a family history, it's a good idea to talk to a doctor about it. But don't stress too much, just be aware and proactive! 😊

Sometimes, yes, these things can pass through families, like a karma of health. But remember, destiny is also in our hands through lifestyle and peace of mind. Consult with doctors to understand your family history and perhaps practice some calming breathing exercises to manage any worry.

Haan, sometimes it runs in families. My distant relative had it, and they said it was because his father also had a similar issue. So if it's in your bloodline, maybe get regular checkups, just to be safe. Prevention is better, no?

Ho na, sometimes it can be genetic. If your family has a history, then it's good to be careful and maybe get some tests done. But not all cases are genetic, so don't get too worried without talking to a doc first.
